Your adventure begins in Cairo, the bustling capital known as “Oum el Dunya” or “the mother of the world.” Here, you will stay at the enchanting House of Kheops, a spiritual haven located at the foot of the Great Pyramid. This family home offers an intimate escape, blending history with tranquility.
Each day, start with invigorating yoga sessions that align your body and mind, preparing you for the day’s adventures. From exploring the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx to cultural visits in Saqqara, your journey is interwoven with moments of mindfulness and movement. Experience the magic of sunset horse rides by the pyramids, feeling the connection between your breath and the ancient land beneath you.
After your time in Cairo, travel to the peaceful Fayoum Oasis. Here, at Tzila Lodge, continue your yoga practice surrounded by the serene beauty of the desert and the tranquil lake. Saddle up for unforgettable half-day trails around the magical lakes of the oasis, pottery workshops, and soft yoga sessions at sunset, all designed to deepen your connection to nature and yourself.

Day 1 - Saturday 1st May - Arrival in Cairo in the House of Kheops

Day 3 - Saturday 3rd of May - Inversions workshop and Saqqara ride

- Immersive afternoon in Saqqara :
– Visit the Saqqara necropolis with your EgyptologistÂ
– Meet an Egyptian farming family who will take you on horseback to explore their village and way of life. You’ll then be invited to their home to share a traditional meal made with fresh produce from their land and garden. - Night in the House
Day 4 - Sunday 4th of May - Giza exploration and evening connection

Day 5 - Monday 5th of May - Transition & Flow workshop and departure to Fayoum

- Morning dedicated to Yoga practices : Transition & Flow workshop
- Homemade organic brunch
- Departure from the House of Kheops to fayoum
- Transfer by private mini bus to Fayoum Oasis (2 hours driving)
- Arrival in Fayoum at Tzila lodge
- Meet your riding guides, their horses and visit the stables.
- Evening horse ride by the lake and in the village (1 hour)
- Dinner and night at Tzila lodge
Day 6 - Tuesday 6th of May - Magic lake horse trail and creative expression: "Integration and Inner Peace"
[INTEGRATION & INNER PEACE]
- Early wake up (at sunrise)
- Drive with the horses to Wadi El Rayan, enjoying the stunning desert landscapes along the way.
- Half day ride (trail ride of around 3 hours) in Wadi Al Rayan and by the magic lake, known for its changing colors and beautiful setting, (possibility to swim with the horses).
- Lunch in the desert
- Drive back to your lodge.
- Free afternoon or pottery class
- Soft yoga at sunset
- Night at the lodge
Day 7 - Wednesday 7th of May - gentle Yoga and Sahara horse trail
[SURRENDER & LOVE]
- Morning gentle yoga at the lodge
- Brunch and free time
- Sunset sahara horse trail (total of 4/5 hours):Â trail ride to the north of Lake Qarun, allowing you to explore a completely untouched desert scenery.

Tzila Lodge, the second oldest building in Tunis Village, was renovated multiple times along its forty five years.

She will guide your yoga journey in Egypt, inviting you to step into a realm of softness and poetry, where every moment is an opportunity to explore yourself, connect with others, and embrace the world around you.
Beyond her passion for yoga, travel and discovering others, Alice is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on others’ physical and mental well-being.
Alice offers intuitive, creative, and embodied flows designed as inner journeys, blending sensitivity, intensity, and relaxation: postures that gracefully and fluidly intertwine with carefully curated playlists, all while respecting oneself and listening to one’s limits.

Laura, the founder of Dunya, will be with you on this journey.
Her knowledge and love for Egypt, combined with her expertise in horseback riding, will ensure the smooth running of your journey and your safety. You can rely on her completely and relax.
Laura is an experienced professional rider (holding a professional riding certificate and having 15 years of experience in jumping competitions). Having grown up in an equestrian environment, horses and riding are much more than just a passion for her—they are a true expertise.

Ride Giza & Saqqara with Mahmoud
Meet Mahmoud, a horse man and farmer from the picturesque village of Saqqara.
Mahmoud’s family is a humble family with an unwavering love for horses, willing to sacrifice other aspects of their lives for the well-being of their animals. Don’t expect to find a traditional stable—these horses live with the family and are an integral part of their daily life. You’ll explore their village on horseback, embarking on an unforgettable ride through the archaeological sites and the desert, where, thanks to Mahmoud, you’ll gain access to areas off-limits to the general public.
Experience authentic horseback rides with ancient wonders as your backdrop, then immerse yourself in the local culture by savoring delicious home-cooked meals, lovingly prepared by his family in their warm and welcoming home.
“Tunis” stable & Youssef
Tunis stable is a guest house, a stable and overall and a family story. The story started when the owner, Mohammed Saleh, came to Tunis village in Fayoum with a couple of horses and built a small stable with his family in 2002. Now, together with his two sons Youssef and Hussein he is the proud owner of more than 30 beautiful horses, bred at home, providing an utmost riding experience in Egypt to people of all riding levels.
Together, with Evelynne Porret who founded the pottery school and Abdo Goubeir who built the first guest house, Mohammed was of the 3 main people who turned Tunis Village in Fayoum into the magical destination it is today.

-  30 horses in the stable, among them Arabian stallions and Egypt’s famous Baladi horses bred in their own stable

About Youssef
Youssef is a skilled horseman and a passionate lover of horses.
He got his love for them from his father since he grew up around horses. Now, he’s helping grow the family business in Fayoum and all over Egypt. He’s part of a legit family of riders and breeders. Youssef’s not just an awesome rider, but he also knows his horses and the oasis inside out. When you’re with him, you’ll feel super safe and get a real, immersive experience, checking out hidden spots and learning the oasis’ secrets that most people don’t know about.
And on top of all that, he’s an excellent photographer who can capture amazing photos and videos to immortalize your horseback rides !

- Horse ride level required : intermediate or advanced, riders must be fit, able to trot, canter and gallop and have experience with trail riding. This ride is for good intermediate and experienced riders only; you must be confident at all paces, able to take a light seat in canter and gallop and to ride with soft, independent hands.
